NTPC Unchahar implements various healthcare projects in nearby villages, few of the recent activities are listed below :
Mobile Medical Unit : To improve the easy access of primary health care in nearby villages NTPC Unchahar has started Mobile Medical Unit for all the 15 Gram Panchayat and every month the vehicle along with 02 doctors, 02 nurses and 01 pharmacist visit all the gram panchayat twice. The vehicle is equipped with all the machines, first aids, medicines and solar panel. It provides Primary Healthcare as well as is responsive to the needs of the people in the villages. It helps to Provide maternal and child healthcare. Approximately more than 24000 patients are benefitted annually from MMU.
Running of SANKALP Deaddiction Center – The Sankalp De-addiction Center, Raebareli, is operational, focusing on providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to individuals battling substance abuse, fostering recovery through professional support and personalized treatment programs. Benefitting around more than 1000 patients annually.
Distribution of Aids & Appliances to PCPs – For inclusivity & empowerment of specially-abled people, NTPC Unchahar distributed Aids & Appliances like tricycle, hearing Aids, Sugamya Stick, motorized tricycle, walking ticks etc to specially-abled people. During FY 2024-25, 90 beneficiaries and during FY 2025-26 49 beneficiaries were provided assistance through devices such as hearing aids, accessible walking sticks, traditional tricycles, motorized-tricycles and wheelchairs.

TB awareness Camp & Nutritional Kits distribution – MoA was signed with Chakriya Vikas Pranali Sanstha for organizing TB awareness camp and distributing nutritional kits to 100 beneficiaries for 6 months in Raebraeli District. The program is aligned with PM TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Eye Relief and Cataract Operation Camp – NTPC Unchahar under its CSR initiative along with Medical department conducted an Eye Relief Campin FY 2024-25 where in 170 undergone cataract surgery from nearby villages under CSR initiative of NTPC Unchahar. Beneficiaries were provided with utmost care and facilities by doctors and nurses of Jeevan Jyoti Hospital NTPC Unchahar. During FY 2025-26, Catarct Surgery Camp was conducted on 3rd to 5th November by Jeevan Jyoti Hospital under NTPC CSR Unchahar, wherein 148 undergone cataract surgery.
Eye Camp & Spectacles distribution – During FY 2024-25 ,Four eye camps were organized at 4 different locations covering all 15 Gram Panchayats in collaboration with Jeevan Jyoti Hospital, NTPC Unchahar. A total of 962 patients were enrolled and 932 patients were provided with spectacles with monofocal/bifocal lenses. For FY 2025-26, four-day eye camp was organized in Umran, Ganghera Gulalganj, Unchahar Dehat, and DAV School. A total of 1040 beneficiaries were registered during the four-day eye checkup camp. The patients were examined by NTPC visiting ophthalmologist Dr. A K Mishra andhis team. The event was organized in collaboration with Jeevan Jyoti Hospital, NTPC Unchahar. All the eligible beneficiaries were provided with free spectacles
Running of DOTS ambulance – NTPC Unchahar is running DOTs ambulance in the villages benefitting about 3000 people every year.
Rural Sports – NTPC Unchahar, to empower rural communities and promote the importance of physical health amongst youth, organized a two-day Rural Sports Meet under its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The event, held at the NTPC Unchahar premises, saw enthusiastic participation from around 100 students representing 12 Government Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools from nearby villages.
Integrated Life Development Centers for Healthy Livestock – NTPC Unchahar is actively engaged in supporting farmers across thematic areas such as livestock development, education, fodder, and natural resource management. Together, JK Trust and NTPC aim to enhance the livestock of farmers by building their capacity in scientific livestock management and allied practices. This project is being implemented in the 15 Gram panchayats surrounding NTPC Unchahar.
